Olympique Lyonnais, having invested heavily earlier in the transfer window, are now desperate to sell before the closure of the window in around a fortnight.

As widely reported Lyon are looking to raise €100m in funds this summer – a figure they are currently way short of hitting. Rayan Cherki (21) is one of the more bankable players, and given that his contract will expire at the end of the season, he is an obvious option to depart.

Lyon are stepping up their attempts to force him out of the club, leaving him out of first-team training as he returned to OL following his post-Olympic Games break. That ostracisation comes amid interest from two Premier League clubs, L’Équipe understands.

Crystal Palace and Fulham have recently approached Lyon regarding the France youth international, however, for now, Cherki does not seem interested in a move to the two aforementioned clubs, and is instead hoping that Paris Saint-Germain reignite their interest in a concrete way.
