Lyon predicted XI vs Strasbourg: Orel Mangala to be dropped for European decider | OneFootball

With one match left of the Ligue 1 season, Lyon have the possibility to complete one of the most drastic turnarounds ever witnessed in French football. OL can qualify for European football after at one point looking helpless to avoid relegation. A victory at home to Strasbourg will confirm their place in the Europa Conference League for next season.

L’Équipe report that Pierre Sage is set to make 6 changes to his team who defeated Clermont 1-0 last time out. Perhaps the harshest change, Orel Mangala is set to be dropped from the starting eleven despite scoring the winning goal against Clermont. Corentin Tolisso should replace him in midfield.

Sage is set to make three changes in attack with Alexandre Lacazette,  Ernest Nuamah and Saïd Benrahma set to replace Gift Orban, Malick Fofana and Rayan Cherki. In defence, two more changes are expected with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Nicolás Tagliafico set to start with Henrique and Clinton Mata set to drop to the bench.
