Olympique Lyonnais will once again meet their rivals for dominance over the French game when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final later tonight, but they will have to do this without some key figures.
Lyon will be without the all-time top scorer in the women’s Champions League, Ada Hegerberg, as she recovers from a thigh injury that saw her miss the quarter-final against Benfica. Eugénie Le Sommer and Delphine Cascarino were doubts for this game after they picked up an injury during the most recent international break with France.
And while Le Sommer will be unable to make a recover in time, there was good news for her international teammate as Cascarino looks set to start despite missing Lyon’s 5-1 demolition over local rivals AS Saint-Étienne last weekend.
