According to De Telegraaf’s Mike Verweij, Olympique Lyonnais are looking to sign Carlos Forbs from Ajax as a potential replacement for Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah before the transfer window closes. Nuamah has been recently linked with Fulham, Nottingham Forest, and Everton.
Sources around the player confirm l’Equipe’s reports, according to the Dutch outlet. Lyon’s first offer is reportedly 15 million euros with Ajax representatives said to be considering the proposal. Forbs is one of Sven Mislintat’s purchases and was signed from Manchester City last year for 14 million euros.
The Portuguese winger, 20, has played 38 times and scored twice for the Amsterdam club. He has also represented the Portuguese national team at youth level, from U16, to the U21s.
