Lyon-Marseille referee accuses Jean-Michel Aulas of threats | OneFootball

RMC Sport report that according to the Lyon-Marseille match report written up by referee Ruddy Buquet, OL president Jean-Michel Aulas had made threats to the match official.

The match had been suspended after Marseille midfielder Dimitri Payet was struck by a bottle, and the match was eventually called off after two hours of discussions between local authorities, league official and the referee.

The referee writes that Aulas had told him, on leaving the dressing room: “The competition depends on the LFP [Ligue 1 governing body], you on the FFF, unfortunately [for you] I am part of the executive committee, this won’t be the end of it”.

Buquet also notes that OM manager Jorge Sampaoli was particularly vehement in his protests, criticising the Argentine’s attitude, which included pointing his finger at the referee multiple times.

The Ligue 1 disciplinary commission will meet tomorrow in order to determine the sanctions to be imposed on Lyon as a result of the incident. Marseille will argue that the match be marked down as a defeat for their opponents, with Aulas’ comments set to be part of their case.

In the regional authorities’ report also revealed by RMC Sport, it is claimed that the referee had taken the decision to resume the game, before going back on his decision shortly afterwards.
