Lyon coach Peter Bosz: “This season is a failure.”

In speaking after his team’s shock 3-2 loss to the bottom club Metz this weekend, Lyon coach Peter Bosz has admitted the club’s campaign is now a failure having been knock out of the Europe by West Ham and seeing their hopes of a return to Europe all but extinguished at Metz. A confused Bosz said after Sunday’s defeat:

“This season is a failure… I can’t explain such a difference, you can’t win 3-0 at Marseille, and deserve to do so, but then lose here today. The first half… How can we start a match like this? I can’t explain it. We ran with the ball a lot, so we lost lots of possession. There’s no excuse, we have to win these matches.”
