Lyon coach Garcia excited to land Slimani from Leicester: Good news! | OneFootball

Olympique Lyon coach Rudi Garcia is delighted with their swoop for former Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

Slimani left the Foxes this week to sign permanently for OL.

Garcia said, "I think he's different from our attackers that we already have.

"He will certainly be a better aerial player than the others, he will bring us his size on the offensive but also on the defensive level. He has a science of playing games, as with Ben Yedder last season where he had a high-level half-season.

"He is above all very motivated, like Djamel. He will bring us his determination. We don't play with wingers the old fashioned way. We play with three attackers who switch, who have the obligation to be in the centre. He can therefore play in one of the three positions in attack. We lost Moussa (Dembele), we really had to replace him so it's really good news."
