Lyon have confirmed that Pierre Sage has been appointed as their new permanent head coach.
Sage temporarily took the reins at the Groupama Stadium last November, with the club mired in Ligue 1’s relegation places.

But since succeeding Fabio Grosso, the 45-year-old has guided Les Gones to Europa League qualification and the Coupe de France final.
Three additional members of staff are set to join Sage’s backroom including ex-Valenciennes coach Jorge Maciel, who will overseen training methodology.
Sage’s new contract will run until the end of June 2026.
