Danish club Lyngby has produced Yussuf Poulsen, Emre Mor, Jacob Bruun Larsen, and Frederik Sorensen over the last few years and Everton hope they have landed the latest great youth talent from their ranks.
On Wednesday, Lyngby sporting director Birger Jörgensen confirmed on the club’s official website that 16-year-old prodigy Sebastian Kristensen will join the Toffees this summer.
“Everton has followed Sebastian closely, had him on trial and has shown the format and willingness to get things going,” said Jorgensen.
“The family and Sebastian have also been thorough, so even though it is a big step, it is well considered.”
“We cry with one eye on sending players as early as possible, but at the same time we see it as a good opportunity and something we would like to support our talents in, in the cases where it makes sense for all parties.”
Lyngby Boldklub’s senior team competes in the Danish second division.
