Charalampos Lykogiannīs is a robust and powerful left-back, who possesses a good shot and can take set-pieces. He is also strong in the air thanks to being 186cm tall. Lykogiannīs is the seventh Greek player to have appeared for the club after Theodōros Zagorakis, Vaggelīs Moras, Panagiōtīs Kone, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, Marios Oikonomou and Vasilīs Torosidis.

Born on 22 October 1993 in Piraeus, not far from Athens, the defender came through the ranks at Olympiakos, making his first-team debut on 25 January 2012. In total, he made 10 league and cup appearances for them. In the following two seasons, he went out on loan to top-flight Greek clubs Levadeiakos and Ergotelis.

In July 2015, he left the Greek league behind and went to Sturm Graz in Austria, where he collected in total 81 appearances and six goals in a two-and-a-half-year spell. On 22 January 2018, he was bought by Cagliari and played 109 times, scoring five goals.

He got his first international cap with Greece in 2017 and has gained six more.

As of July 2022, he is a Rossoblù player.
