Burnley had the first big chance of the game after just seven minutes when Johann Gudmundsson was played through on goal. However, the Icelandic midfielder shot straight at Thomas Kaminski.

From here, Luton began to dictate play, Ross Barkley at the heart of everything good they did, as he has been for much of the season.

Despite that, it was the home side who grabbed the lead in the 36th minute. Wilson Odobert, who had been lively throughout the opening period, went down the line, beat his man and put a ball across the box.

A deflection put in the path of Zeki Amdouni, whose shot hit two Luton defenders before going in.

Chiedozie Ogbene was Lutonā€™s liveliest attacker in the second half, creating several openings but being unable to beat James Trafford in the Burnley net.

Luton grabbed a late, late equaliser in added time via Carlton Morris but not before it went to a VAR check. Trafford appeared to be cleared out in the air before the Luton striker headed into an empty net but after much deliberation, the goal stood.

The draw moves Luton level on points with 17th placed Everton while Burnley suffer a major disappointment in their own bid for survival, remaining second bottom and four points off safety.
