Romelu Lukaku will return to the Inter starting XI for this weekend’s first Derby D’Italia of the season at home to Juventus according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Belgian striker missed Inter’s Champions League group stage loss to Barcelona in mid-week due to a muscle problem but will return and will be one of a few changes that manager Antonio Conte makes to the side for the match against the Bianconeri.
Conte will firstly revert back to a 3-5-2 system, having played 3-1-4-2 against Barcelona. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Cristiano Biraghi will occupy the wing-back slots in place of Antonio Candreva and Kwadwo Asamoah respectively.
Matias Vecino will also come in to the team in place of Nicolo Barella in the midfield to add some physicality.
Predicted Inter starting XI (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi, Cristiano Biraghi; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
