Roma will officially welcome Romelu Lukaku as their newest transfer market signing on Tuesday evening when he arrives in the Italian capital from Brussels.

To facilitate the move to Roma, Lukaku agreed to lower his wages from nearly €‎9 million to €‎7.5 million (net) for the season. In addition, English journalist Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph reports the Belgian consented to lower his salary for the following two years on his deal with Chelsea in addition to the inclusion of a £37 million (€‎43 million) release clause.
