Luka Modrić’s agent drops Real Madrid future hint | OneFootball

The agent of Real Madrid star Luka Modrić has on Saturday provided an update on his future with the club.

As much, of course, comes amid mounting claims that the Croatian is inching towards staying put for the 2024/25 campaign.

Modrić’s current terms in Spain’s capital are due to expire in the summer, with the plans of Los Blancos for their midfield veteran beyond as much having remained up in the air for the majority of the campaign.

Recent days, though, have seen reports spread that Florentino Pérez and co. have been convinced of the merits of keeping hold of Modrić for yet another season.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, the subject of precisely as much was in turn put to the 38-year-old’s representative.

And Vlado Lemić’s ensuing response will no doubt go down a treat amongst those of a Real Madrid persuasion.

This comes with Lemić having confirmed during an interview with Kooora, as cited by Marca, that Modrić looks increasingly likely to stay put at the Santiago Bernabéu through the summer and beyond:

“The most likely thing is that he will stay one more year and continue writing history.

“Real Madrid is the best club in the world and is led by the best president in the history of football. Luka Modrić is a Real Madrid fan who loves the club and considers it his home.”
