Luka Jovic’s tenure with Milan comes to an end.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Luka Jovic is set to seek newer pastures this summer as his contract with Milan will expire at the end of this month.
The Rossoneri renewed the Serbian last time with options of extending his contract on a year-on-year basis. The possibility of renewing him was there till June 20, but the club made no move. Jovic is practically a free agent now and will wait for the formal expiry of his contract on June 30.
No European club have shown any interest till now in signing Jovic, but he has received interest from Mexican side Cruz Azul and Brazilian outfits Botafogo.
Massimiliano Allegri and Igli Tare have decided to go forward with other attacking options for the new season, and therefore concluded to leave Jovic out of their plans.
The striker made 47 appearances across two seasons for Milan, scoring 13 goals.
