“Luka is depressed and a little scared,” Milan Jović told Kurir. “It’s terrible. We were surprised by the news, we did not expect this.

“He was preparing at his home in Belgrade, following the training program he received from the club and during an exercise he felt great pain.

“Who knew that it was so serious? He was preparing to be like never before, to go back and be the best and now this has happened.

“Nothing is known yet, more detailed exams are needed to know for how long he’ll be out.”

Madrid officials are reportedly debating whether to cut their losses on Jović by selling him this summer.
