Over the weekend, Chivas finally won as a visitor after six months of failing to earn all three points on the road.
They did it in dramatic fashion, with ‘Chofis’ López providing the winning strike in the 92nd minute.
Following the match, manager Luis Fernando Tena vowed that Chivas, who are five points behind eighth-placed Xolos, were still very much in the Liguilla race with just four games left to play.
“While there still is life we will fight until the end,” Tena said.
“Today we took a good step, we still have four games left, three at home, this team has been very strong there.”
Chivas have actually fared quite well at home, going 3W-1D-2L in Liga MX competition at the Estadio Akron this season.
Chivas will face Tijuana and Toluca on Wednesday, 30 October and Saturday, 3 November.
