Luis Díaz 'out for three months' after knee surgery

Liverpool forward Luis Díaz is reportedly set to miss the next three months after having knee surgery.

That’s according to a story in the Athletic which claims that the Colombia international went under the knife over the weekend.

Díaz had only just returned to Reds training after a knee injury suffered in October but just a few days into their warm weather camp in Dubai, the 25-year-old complained of pain in the same area.

It’s now been revealed that the attacker had surgery on his lateral collateral ligament and will not feature until March at the earliest.

Liverpool are currently sixth in the Premier League and return to action on Boxing Day when they will face Aston Villa.
