Mexico international Luiz Chavez has terminated his contract with Liga MX side Pachuca, as the 27-year-old prepares to move to Europe, according to a report from TUDN's Hugo Ramirez.

Chavez looks like he'll be getting his dream move to Europe, where fellow El Tri stars Edson Alvarez, Santiago Gimenez and Raul Jimenez have been playing their trade in recent years.

The player currently stands as a free agent after paying off his transfer clause himself, given the terms and conditions demanded by the team. Chavez will now be able to negotiate with any club about a free transfer as the 2023/24 season has kicked-off in leagues across the Atlantic.

One club has been heavily linked with Chavez: Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League. Given FIFA's transfer ban on all Russian sides, the player and team had to find a creative way to pay off the release clause included in his contract.

The midfielder is coming off a successful summer with Mexico at the 2023 Gold Cup, where he helped his nation lift the continental trophy and was heavily involved with the team's evolution under new head coach Jaime 'Jimmy' Lozano.

It would be an interesting move for Chavez, and should he sign for the Russian giants, and he'll have made his last appearance for Pachuca on May 6, when his team were eliminated from the 2023 Liga MX Clausura round of 16 in penalties by Santos Laguna.

In total, Chavez has made over 110 appearances for the Mexican side across all competitions, scoring 12 goals in the process.
