Speaking to Téléfoot this morning, Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luís Campos spoke about Kylian Mbappé’s injury which will sideline the Frenchman for up to three weeks.

Losing Kylian, of course it’s hard,” began Campos, adding that he saw Mbappé “very sad after his injury” following the midweek clash against Montpellier.

However, the Portuguese advisor remains optimistic on the Frenchman’s return, based off seeing Mbappé’s stages of an early recovery. “I also saw him today working to speed up his recovery as soon as possible,” finally adding “that is the mentality of a winner.”

The reported next-in-line heir for the France captaincy is set to miss three weeks for PSG which includes the first leg of a crunch Champions League tie against Bayern Munich as well as key Ligue 1 clashes against Monaco and Marseille. He suffered an injury to the left thigh at the “level of the femoral biceps”, PSG said in a statement last week.
