Lucien Favre has said Dortmund could have  Raphaël Guerreiro available this weekend.

The Portuguese left-back pulled up late in Dortmund’s Champions League win against Club Brugge on Tuesday evening.

He could, though, still feature against Köln on Saturday.

“With Raphaël Guerreiro, we’ll have to see how it develops up until Saturday,” Favre said. Guerreiro has been in superb form this season and his involvement would be a huge boost as Dortmund look for a third win in a week.

“The game comes a few days early for Dan-Axel Zagadou,” Favre added. “He might be available next week.

“That we have so few protracted  injuries is obviously very important. We talk a lot with the physios and the athletic coaches. We have a lot of rotation options.”

Dortmund have switched between a back three and a back four in recent weeks as Favre looks to use his squad and avoid any injuries.

If Guerreiro isn’t available, Felix Passlack or Nico Schulz could start on the left of the defence.
