In the wake of Maxime Bernauer’s move from Ligue 2 side Paris FC to Dinamo Zagreb, L’Équipe indicate that the 24-year-old defender could soon be joined by several compatriots as the Croatian champions make a concerted effort to recruit from France this summer.

Dinamo Zagreb’s new Sporting Director Marko Marić – who spent two seasons at Lille during his playing days – has explained to the outlet that the club is able to find young players from across French football’s top three divisions that fit with their philosophy. On top of their relatively cheap price tags, those who come out of France’s academies are also tactically well-educated, he adds.

Specifically, L’Équipe indicate that Dinamo are looking to bring in an unnamed player from Rennes, and another from Lyon. Down in the second tier, several players are also on the Croatians’ radar – in particular, Mohamed Kaba of Valenciennes and Ibrahim Sissoko. The latter saw his contract with Sochaux terminated last week in the wake of the club’s administrative relegation to the third tier. Lucien Agoumé, who spent last year on loan at Troyes from Inter, is also on the shortlist.
