Luciano Spalletti sacked as Inter coach

Inter have confirmed that Luciano Spalletti has left the club after two years in charge.

The 60-year-old guided the Nerazzurri to two top four finishes but that hasn’t been enough for the club’s Chinese owners to keep him on for next season.

In a brief statement, Inter confirmed that Spalletti “will no longer to continue to coach the first team” and that they “wish to thank him and his staff for all their efforts”.

The San Siro side are believed to be ready announce Antonio Conte as his successor.
