Lucas Vázquez celebrates his 32nd birthday today. The Galician was born on 1 July 1991 in Curtis (La Coruña) and is about to embark on his ninth season with the first team. Having played 311 games, the home-grown player has helped the team to win 18 trophies: 4 Champions League titles, 4 Club World Cups, 3 Uefa Super Cups, 3 LaLiga titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups. He has also scored 33 goals.

He began his career at Real Madrid in 2007, when he joined the youth system as a member of the Under-17s team. After working his way up through the ranks and spending a season at Espanyol, Lucas joined Madrid's first team in the summer of 2015. Last season he made 30 appearances and was involved in winning the Club World Cup, the Uefa Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
