Lucas Vázquez spoke about the team's performance against Elche: "It was a difficult game, but we come away happy ater coming back from 2-0 down. We showed a lot of spirit and desire to get the win. We created plenty of chances to get the three points, but we were a little short in front of goal. We have to be happy with the draw, considering the way the game went".

"After going 1-0 down, they played their game and looked to waste time. We struggled to find the net, but we can take a lot from the two goals and we'll continue to fight for LaLiga".

I’m sure he’ll put the next one he gets away”. Courtois: "We fought to the end to salvage a point" "It wasn't a bad performance. We created chances and we missed a penalty in the first half, but they had quality up front and scored the goals. They didn't have many chances. They scored from a good header and that made the game more difficult. We went in search of an equaliser, but they got the second. We then gave everything and fought to the end to salvage a point. If we'd put away any of the chances or the penalty in the first half, the game might have gone a different way".

"A draw is better than losing and even better when you're trailing 2-0. They had three chances and they scored twice. It's a shame as we didn't defend very well for those two goals. That can happen. We've now got to rest ahead of the game against Athletic".
