Lucas Vázquez recorded his 150th Real Madrid win in Eibar. The forward, who got the third goal at Ipurúa in the last minute, reached this milestone in his sixth season with the first team. He's played 222 matches for the Whites and won 12 titles with the club: 3 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 2 LaLiga and 2 Spanish Super Cups.
The youth-team graduate had this to say about the win: "We come away quite happy. We knew that it was a going to be a difficult match and we came out from the first minute playing with a high intensity, knowing what we had to do to get the three points. With 18 minutes gone we were 2-0 up and with the match under control but their goal got them into the game. In the second half, although we did not have the same quality than in the first, they didn't cause us any major problems. It's always good for a footballer to play matches and to be able to help the team to get the wins. I'm pleased with that".
The key points “Pressing high up the pitch, showing plenty of movement when in possession and being composed on the ball and having the quality to play out from the back”.
His record The season in which he picked up the most victories was 2016/17, with 38. In the current campaign, he has featured in 16 games, and he has been on the winning side in 10 of them.
