Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira insists he remains happy at Arsenal despite reports continuing to link him with an exit.
Torreira has struggled to establish himself in North London since arriving from Sampdoria in 2018, despite impressing whenever selected.
And while he admits one day playing for Boca Juniors is a ‘dream’, the 24-year-old is prepared to keep fighting for his current club.
“Today my intention and my head are at Arsenal,” he told El Intransigente. “I want to recover, go back to 100 per cent.
“I have a very long contract with the club – until 2023 – and it was very difficult for me to get here.
“Wearing the shirt of Boca Juniors is a wish and a pending dream that I have.
“This is how I feel, but I say it at the age of 24 and being at one of the most important teams in the world like Arsenal.”
Torreira is back in full training after fracturing his ankle against Portsmouth in March.
