Anderlecht’s young striker Lucas Stassin, who was recently linked with a move to Sunderland, is now reportedly close to a move across the border to Lille instead. As reported by HLN, Ligue 1 side Lille are pursuing the young striker in an attempt to bring him to France. The French side are currently 7th in the French top flight, just a couple of points outside of the European spots.
Stassin has played the majority of the season for Anderlecht Futures in the Challenger Pro League, with 11 goals in 16 matches. This form saw him included in first team squads during the first half of the season, with the 18 year old making his first team debut against Club Brugge.
Anderlecht are looking to bolster their attack in January as well, with the hope that they can release Sebastiano Esposito back to Inter in the winter transfer window to free up squad space for new arrivals.
