Paquetá made a huge €35m move from Brazilian side Flamengo and has lived up to the price tag so far.
“Milan got me ready and gave me their full support.
“I’m very grateful to them because the game is quicker in Italy and also different tactically. It all happened very fast.”
“Still, Milan prepared me excellently and I’m very happy.
“As for Gennaro Gattuso, he’s a great person and an excellent professional who pushes you to give more.
“I hope we achieve great results this season.”
Paquetá then spoke of the honor of playing for Brazil and the similarities between Gattuso’s system at Milan and the way Tite aligns him.
“The Brazil shirt is a heavy burden, with its history and five stars. It’s a great privilege to be there with any number. I intend to work hard so I find space in the team.”
“Milan and Brazil have similar tactics. In Milan, I play as a left-central midfielder, which is the position I like.
“Serie A is different. It’s a more tactical League. Here (for Brazil), Tite gives me the freedom to go one step further towards the opposing box, to be freer.”
“Playing as a left-central midfielder is the position I prefer.”
