Lucas Hernandez has showered praise on his new Bayern Munich teammate Dayot Upamecano.
The former RB Leipzig defender has settled in well at the Allianz Arena, helping his new club sit top of the Bundesliga with 16 points from their first six games.
And the 22-year-old has received the backing from one of his defensive partners, and international compatriot.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Hernandez said: “He’s a great defender.
“He didn’t take much time to adapt. He already knew the coach, the automatisms that are expected of him.
“He’s a very pleasant guy. A very, very nice person, a fantastic player.
“Defensively he brings us a lot. ”
Upamecano arrived from the former club of his current manager Julian Nagelsmann for a reported fee of around €42.5m in July.
