Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez will not be entering prison, with his sentence now suspended after a successful appeal in Madrid.
The case related to the violating the terms of a restraining order with his wife which was issued by a court in the Spanish capital during his time at Atlético.
As a result, the 32nd Criminal Court in Madrid issued an order for him to be imprisoned following a hearing earlier this month.
But Onda Cero Radio and Marca report that Madrid’s Provincial Court have upheld his appeal against his admission to prison and his six-month sentence has now been suspended.
The length of the suspended sentence is four years and is contingent on Hernandez committing no further crimes during that time.
As part of the judgement, the France international has also been ordered to pay a fine of €94,000.
