However, Lucas Digne insists he’s yet to hear anything from France and is focused on having another successful campaign in Merseyside.

“I feel very good at Everton. I took a few steps in England. If the coach lets me play, it is because he has confidence in me.

“I am aware of the interest of other clubs, but not Lyon. At Everton, I was able to play every game, we had a good season. There is a project in progress.

“The club has invested heavily last summer and will do it again this summer.”

Lucas Digne was incredibly impressive during his first year at Everton and earned the club’s Player of the Season award.
