Djurgårdens talent Lucas Bergvall has been talked about a lot in recent weeks and it seems as if Barcelona or Borussia Dortmund are his most likeliest destination.
The Catalan club have been heaviest linked with the 17-year-old midfielder, who has already played 29 times for the club’s first team and has scored three times while playing deeper in the heart of the park.
Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that while Italian clubs like the starlet, his valuation is too much for Serie A teams to afford and the only time they could land him was last summer. He stated that while Udinese did come forward for the 17-year-old, Barcelona and German giants Dortmund are his likely destination right now.
He told: “If it’s not Barcelona it will be Borussia Dortmund. He is the player. The real talent in Sweden now. The more time that passes the higher his value will be.”
On interest from Italian sides, Di Marzio stated: “Udinese were in Sweden to talk to Lucas Bergvall and to his agent and family. At that moment they wanted €5-6m but Udinese couldn’t afford that kind of investment.”
“The Sporting Director of Udinese knows that now the request is €10 million – €11million and Barcelona wants the player and I think he is the most talented Swedish player at the moment.”
“Every club is talking about the player and the time to get him to Serie A was last summer because the price has become so high for Serie A clubs.”
It has been reported that Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested in Bergvall, but Barcelona will soon make an offer for the talented starlet.
