Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has criticised the FIFA Best XI for not including Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian was nominated for the main Men's Player of the Year award but missed out on the best XI for the year.

That was the despite four attackers - Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo being included in the line-up.

Lovren, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg, tweeted: 'No place for Mo Salah to be placed in the Fifapro world 11? Again!!

"People with knowledge about football, they know that he deserves to be in there. What needs to be done to be there? Maybe a European passport?"
