Louis van Gaal would have arrived at Manchester United as a manager that promised big things.

Of course, the Dutchman had already proven to be incredibly successful at the vast majority of jobs he had had before the Red Devils, however things did not quite pan out as was expected.

Life was a little challenging during this Old Trafford reign after joining them following the 2014 FIFA World Cup in which he guided The Netherlands to a third-place finish and replacing David Moyes. When he arrived, many would have been betting on the fact that the Dutchman would have brought some sustained success with him to the club, especially when they would have been able to use the bet365 canadian code that can be found when looking for the best offers and bonuses to use.

He did bring in the likes of Angel Di Maria, Anthony Martial, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay to the club, although it speaks volumes that just one of those aforementioned individuals are still at the club now.

However, Van Gaal revealed in a recent interview that he had ambitions of bringing up to a further 10 talented players, with each of them being considered amongst the best in their positions.

In fact, his wishlist looked like something that many playing Football Manager would perhaps be looking to try and make happen, but nonetheless, he wanted to make Manchester United the dominant force they were under Sir Alex Ferguson once again.

Names such as Robert Lewandowski, Neymar Jr, N’Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, Sergio Ramos, Mats Hummels and Riyad Mahrez were just some of the names that he had desires to get and admitted he found it “odd” that the club could not get any of them.
