Former Manchester United and France striker Louis Saha has backed the club to make a move for Harry Kane, insisting that the club ‘need’ him on top of their other assets hitting form.

The 27-year-old remains one of Europe’s most potent strikers and amid an uncertain future at Tottenham, several clubs have been linked with a move for the forward.

Kane, who has three years remaining on his deal with Spurs, has repeatedly been linked with a move to Old Trafford and the claims have been backed by former fan-favourite Louis Saha.

“I think they need Harry Kane, they need an in-form Rashford and Martial, a Bruno Fernandes playing at the top of his game and a still improving Greenwood,” Saha told gamblingsdeals.com.

“They need all those players to be better, to be more consistent through the year. They need a few less goalkeeping mistakes and they’ll be fine.”

Kane is not said to be a priority for the club, with an improved offer for Jadon Sancho recently being made. The Borussia Dortmund winger has withstood transfer speculation for over a year and despite last year’s calamitous collapse in negotiations, it looks like Manchester United could be getting their man.
