Dino Toppmöller, Robin Koch and Hugo Ekitiké analyse Friday evening’s 3-1 victory over Augsburg.

Head coach Dino Toppmöller: “We started really well and had a good grip on our opponents. We then made a slight mistake in our build-up, Augsburg finished it off well and went in front. We had to be patient. We believed in our plan from start to finish. We showed lots of energy and passion – it was a deserved win. The stadium was on our side after our equaliser, which really helped us.”

Robin Koch: “We reacted well [to falling behind]. We were aware how important this game was and that the pressure was on. Our mentality saw us through. When you take the lead, you have to defend and throw yourself into every challenge. This win relieves the pressure on us, which could be very important for the last few games. We expect to clinch sixth spot. To do that, we need points.”

Hugo Ekitiké: “I’m very happy with the win in particular. I’m obviously really pleased about my first goal too. It’s finally happened! I’m working very hard to keep this up and become the striker I can be. In the build-up to our second goal I wanted to play the through ball, but when the ball came back to me I knew I wanted to score myself! So I got the ball, chose my route to goal and put it away. I’m satisfied and happy.”
