Lorient interested in Atletico Madrid’s Ivo Grbić | OneFootball

Mohamed Toubache-Ter is reporting that FC Lorient are interested in signing Atletico Madrid goalkeeper (26) on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Grbić, who has two caps for the Croatian national team, spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 rivals Lille. During the 2021/22 season, he made 29 appearances for Les Dogues, before returning to the Spanish capital. So far this season, Grbić has made just five appearances for Atletico Madrid. One of those matches came in the Champions League, and across all competitions, he has conceded four times this campaign.

However, he could be set for another loan move, and back to France. According to Toubache-Ter, Lorient, who are the surprise package of the Ligue 1 season so far, are interested in the player. Whilst nothing is sealed, the interest is concrete, with Les Merlus looking to bring him in on loan this winter. The deal wouldn’t include an option to make the move permanent.
