Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini commented the team’s defeat to Elfsborg.
“We need to look forward with confidence and continue to do what we’re doing,” the Roma skipper told the club after the match in Sweden.
“We are very sorry for the result because we did not come here to not win. Something went wrong because otherwise we would not have lost.”
“We need time to learn 100% what the coach is asking of us. The details were decisive: they scored from a penalty and only made a few counterattacks and little else.”
“We instead led the entire game for many periods, we controlled the game. We had many opportunities and it was an unlucky day.”
“We are sorry about tonight, for the fans and for those who were here to support us. Now there is another game and it is fortunate because we can do well and make up for tonight’s result.”
“We will analyze everything with the coach to understand how we could have won and on Sunday there is an important game that we do not want to get wrong”.
