Lorenzo Insigne is the latest European footballer to make the jump to Major League Soccer after agreeing to a deal with Toronto FC on Saturday.
As per the club statement, the 30-year-old Napoli captain has signed a pre-contract to join the Canadian club on a four-year deal beginning on July 1, 2022.
Insigne has made 416 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A club registering 114 goals and 91 assists.
That is in addition to his 53 appearances and 10 goals for Italy which helped them win Euro 2020 this past summer.
