AC Milan made five new additions during the winter transfer window but their work is far from complete on the squad, a report claims.
After the arrivals of Kyle Walker and Santiago Gimenez, many believed that Milan’s business would be done and that they would instead focus more on potential outgoings. However, deadline day had different ideas in store.
Joao Felix, Warren Bondo and Riccardo Sottil all joined the club, while Noah Okafor, Ismael Bennacer and Kevin Zeroli departed the Rossoneri, making it one of the most active final days of the window in recent years.
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com has written the following on X: ‘Walker, Gimenez, Joao Felix now. Ricci and Antonio Silva in June. A beautiful Milan could be born’. He is referring to Samuele Ricci and the Benfica defender Antonio Silva, who were linked during the January window.
Ricci is one of Milan’s top targets for the midfield and while the link never heated up properly in the January window, the Rossoneri did make an attempt to sign the Torino star.
Meanwhile, Silva was mentioned as an option for if one of Strahinja Pavlovic or Fikayo Tomori were to depart amid offers from abroad. He is represented by Jorge Mendes, the same agent Felix and Sergio Conceicao have.
