Samuele Ricci is one of AC Milan’s top targets for the midfield and while the link never heated up properly this window, the Rossoneri did make an attempt to bring in the Torino player.
The midfield has been heavily discussed in the last few months, with Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders both working overtime. Furthermore, Milan have been lacking a Sandro Tonali-esque player ever since his departure, which has angered the fans.
For the summer, Torino’s Ricci has been the top target for quite some time, with Il Toro willing to part ways with their star then as well. However, as reported by Daniele Longo, Milan did actually make an attempt to sign the Italian international this window.
Torino never opened up to this idea, though, and the Rossoneri are thus fully focused on the summer. It’s almost like ‘a certain transfer’ for Ricci then, as Longo concludes, and it remains to be seen what the price tag will be in the end.
A hefty sum has also been invested in the services of Santiago Gimenez, who arrived for his medical this morning, so perhaps both of these signings were never possible during this window. In any case, the idea is clear for the summer.
