OH Leuven have announced that defender Pierre-Yves Ngawa has left the club. The defender has moved to the second tier of Belgium to join RFC Liege and has signed a contract until 2027. Ngawa was in his second spell with OH Leuven, having originally joined the club back in 2015 from Lierse. After just two seasons with the club he moved to Italy where he spent time playing for Avellino, Perugia and Foggia.

In 2019 Ngawa returned to OH Leuven, helping them gain promotion to the Pro League. In a spell that spans five seasons with the club, the now 32-year-old central defender played 134 games for the side, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists. The former Belgian U21 defender will be hoping to help RFC Liege, a team from the city of his birth, push for promotion from the second tier of Belgian football. RFC Liege are a historic club in Belgian football but have fallen on hard times in recent years. The two-time Belgian top flight title winners returned to the second tier last season after a hiatus. They performed well, pushing for the play-off spots despite only having just returned.
