London City Lionesses sign Ireland international Megan Campbell

London City Lionesses have signed experienced defender Megan Campbell following the expiration of her contract with Everton.

The 30-year-old, who has also played for the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, while making 47 appearances for the Republic of Ireland, joins on an 18-month contract.

Head coach Carolina Morace told londoncitylionesses.com: “It is very important for us to have someone in the team with Megan’s specific skillset. I need to have a centre-back who is left-footed, so I’m excited to see what she can offer.”

Campbell said: “Joining London City is a new challenge, with new surroundings and new teammates, but I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
