London City Lionesses have completed the permanent signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Emily Orman.

It has been reported that London City Lionesses have paid an undisclosed fee to secure Orman’s services while the player has signed a three-year deal at Hayes Lane.

Orman joined Chelsea as a 16-year-old and the player forced her way onto the fringes of the first team squad. The youngster was named amongst the Chelsea substitutes during her time with the club, although she never made a first team appearance. Orman has gained experience out on loan at Crystal Palace and Reading in recent seasons.

The keeper has lots of potential and she will be hoping to push for regular starts with new club London City Lionesses.

After joining London City Lionesses, Orman said “It’s exciting to join London City because I feel that our values really align.

“The values that I hold myself to are also important to Club, with the opportunity to play and develop being really attractive. It’s cool to be part of an independent set-up, hopefully we’ll be able to create a name for ourselves and bring more fans along with us.

“I really want to develop more in my own space, growing with the team and helping in any way I can. Promotion is the result of consistent performances – and that’s what I want to deliver to the team.”

Orman is London City Lionesses’ 11th signing of the summer transfer window.
