Lokomotiv Moscow boss Marko Nikolić believes that Robert Lewandowski is the best striker in the world right now ahead of their Champions League clash.

The reigning European champions go to the Russian capital on Tuesday looking for their 13th straight win in the competition.

Hansi Flick’s side are in red-hot form at the moment, having beaten Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 in the Bundesliga and Atlético Madrid 4-0 in their opening European encounter in the last week.

Lewandowski netted yet another hat-trick at the weekend, and the Lokomotiv boss has admitted that the Poland international is the man to stop.

“Bayern are very dangerous,” Nikolić told reporters.

“They have quick attacking players and are dangerous from set pieces. On top of that, you can’t forget Lewandowski. He’s the best striker in Europe.

“We have to believe in victory. It’s often the case that a draw is a good result, but we want all three points.”
