Club América got back to winning ways on Matchday 8 after two draws and a loss in recent weeks in Liga MX.
Oribe Peraltaâs first goal since 3 March against Chivas de Guadalajara put the visitors on top before Matheus Uribe scored a penalty in added time.
Peralta scored in the 30th minute when he picked up a loose ball inside the 18-yard box and fired past JosĂ© Antonio RodrĂguez.

The second half consisted of well-constructed AmĂ©rica attacks ending in penalty shouts and big saves from goalkeeper AgustĂn MarchesĂn.
In the 51st minute and again in the 58th minute, Cecilio DomĂnguez went down in the area looking for penalties but the referee waved away his protests. In the first instance replays showed much ado about relatively little contact from BUAPâs defender.
On the other end of the pitch, Lobos BUAP fashioned a few quality chances trying to equalise. Right-back FĂ©lix Crisanto got forward well and sent in a low cross that deflected to Omar Tejeda. MarchesĂn smothered the Mexican forwardâs toe-poke in the 55th minute but Francisco Palenciaâs team showed their intent.
In the 76th minute, substitute attacker Gabriel Cortez hit a direct free kick on target but MarchesĂn was alert to the danger and saved the Ecuadorianâs attempt.
The visitors finally earned a penalty deep in stoppage time. Henry MartĂn went down in the area under a clumsy challenge by veteran Francisco Javier RodrĂguez. Colombian midfielder Uribe converted from the penalty spot to double the lead for the azulcrema with the last kick of the game.
Despite securing their first victory in four league contests, AmĂ©rica may be disappointed to have not put away more of their chances. The result puts las Ăguilas in third place on goal difference behind only Monterrey and Cruz Azul in the 2018 Apertura table.
Lobos BUAP sit precariously in 17th place in the 18-team Liga MX. More troubling, perhaps, the university team is still the prime candidate to be relegated ahead of Veracruz and cross-town rivals Club Puebla.
