A report from the Daily Telegraph earlier this month suggested that Newcastle United were keeping tabs on the forward ahead of a potential move.

The Magpies have since bolstered their attacking options by signing Chris Wood from Burnley.

However, given that Eddie Howe’s side are facing an uphill task to avoid relegation this season, they may decide to test Bournemouth’s resolve by submitting a bid for Solanke.
