Time is running out for Liverpool.
Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent-Alexander Arnold’s futures at the club still remain in doubt.
The silence is deafening. Pundits, reporters, journalists and fans of all kinds are on the edge of their seats eagerly awaiting the result of one of the longest contract sagas to date.

Arne Slot is reluctant to reveal anything, constantly being peppered with questions about the progression of new deals.
But he keeps his lips tight, leaving Reds fans in the dark about whether their star players will be at the club next season.
And now it's been reported that Trent could be leaving the club sooner than expected, but for a potentially good reason.
The scouser born Red is one of Liverpool’s greatest gems. Having joined the academy in 2004, he has formed a relationship with the fans which emits so much love and appreciation.
Trent needs Liverpool and Liverpool needs him.
But his tale may be coming to an end in the space of two months. According to Football Insider, the Reds may sell the right-back in January. This is because it would mean Liverpool secure some financial gain from the player instead of him leaving on a free in the summer.
The report identifies that former Man United, Tottenham and Aston Villa scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, insists Liverpool could entertain an early exit for the number 66.
“Liverpool will know whether or not he’s going, and if he’s definitely going, they might feel they can bring in a bit of money for him in January and bite the bullet rather than letting him go for free.”
“But they have to be realistic and if they’re going to lose him anyway, why not make some money? I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them cut their losses and take what they can.”
“That money can then be reinvested elsewhere if they want to strengthen the squad.”
This leaves the Liverpool board with a choice. If Trent does decide to leave for Real Madrid, do they fulfil his wishes and he sees out the end of the season with the Reds, or do they risk being without him from January and cash in on his departure?
The positive of losing Trent early means the Reds would receive a hefty sum of money which could contribute to strengthening the squad in some of its weaker areas.
But not having Trent for the remainder of the season could stall Slot's fantastic progress so far. The Reds are in a title challenge no doubt. And to lose one of our key players at a crucial point of the season could be incredibly damaging.
Fans will be hoping for neither and that Trent agrees a new deal. But for now, all we can do is speculate.
