Despite unveiling their new home kit made by Nike on May 2, Premier League heavyweights Liverpool continue to keep their away jersey under wraps.

Liverpool’s kit launches always draw significant attention among the loyal Anfield faithful, and the 2024/25 apparel is no exception.

The Reds’ new home kit showcases a retro twist on the modern football aesthetic. It maintains the club’s iconic red base, albeit implementing a ‘YNWA’ pattern design.

It resembles last year’s design, with slight changes made to look like the club’s famous collar worn by the European Cup-winning team in 1984, led by Joe Fagan.

Like all Premier League kits, the jersey is crafted using advanced technology to keep the players dry during intense matches.

Nike’s Dri-Fit ADV technology with moisture-wicking material ensures the ultimate comfort for players, setting new standards in designing for precision-tuned athletic performance.

During an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, captain Virgil van Dijk spoke highly of the new design.

“I’m a big fan of our new kit for next season and love the fact we’re bringing the retro vibe back,” Van Dijk said.

“We are a club built on history and the 1984 team was one of our most successful ever. I’m sure our fans will appreciate the nod to those club legends.”

As for the away kit, it’s still a mystery.

However, online leaks suggest the new away jersey will have a dark and lighter anthracite combination for the base and side panels. The kit also features light turquoise and off-white accents for the logos.

While waiting for the official announcement, the Liverpool fan base looks forward to the new era under former Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.
